Mission + Principles
Mission
Wyoming2030’s mission is to elevate and broaden the public discourse about Wyoming’s future. We are particularly interested in the tomorrow of children, families and communities in which they reside.
As we navigate this future, we seek to explore where our citizens hold shared values and want to leave a legacy.
Shared Responsibility
As citizens of Wyoming, we all have a shared responsibility for the healthy development of young people in our community.
Face Adversity
No matter how difficult the circumstance, we can build on assets. There is always the potential for growth and development.
Trust the Experts
We regard those with boots on the ground — those closest to the problem — to be experts. Mining engineer, pediatrician, teacher, mechanic. Doesn’t matter. We trust their observations, their judgement and their opinion.
Wyoming Model
Let’s set the stage for a national model of thinking ahead. Understanding the actions we take now directly impact future generations in this country. Wyoming can teach others.
Diverse Perspectives
Society makes better decisions in an arena where diverse perspectives are present. More viewpoints create more paths towards diversified and workable solutions.
Equality ≠ Equal
Just like getting to Cheyenne depends on where you live in Wyoming, so too are children and families situated in different contexts and will have different paths to success.
